Join AbbVie’s Immunology Discovery Research team as a Senior Scientist II, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing our understanding of immunology through innovative preclinical studies. We are looking for a passionate and skilled cellular immunologist with expertise in both in vivo and in vitro methodologies to spearhead the development of pharmacodynamic endpoints in non-human primate (NHP) studies. This role presents a unique opportunity to validate mechanistic and translational endpoints that will support our experimental medicine initiatives.
Your contributions will directly influence AbbVie’s diverse immunology pipeline and you will have the chance to shape the strategic direction of high-impact research programs. Collaborating within a highly matrixed team, you will provide robust data packages from in vivo pharmacology studies and mentor junior scientists to drive scientific innovation.
Key responsibilities include:
Utilizing your extensive knowledge of non-human primate immunology to guide project teams in their research efforts.
Coordinating study logistics and collaborating with team members and stakeholders across Discovery Immunology.
Managing budget and colony maintenance while ensuring high productivity levels.
Mentoring and supporting the growth of team members, fostering a culture of innovation.
Collaborating with global project leads to develop tailored models that address specific research questions.
Designing and implementing translational immune-profiling assays.
Establishing the rationale for the use of primate models in translational research.
Creating a tissue repository for efficient test article screening.
Presenting research findings at both internal and external scientific meetings.
