In your role as a Senior Data Engineer on our Analytics Team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments to architect, develop, and implement data pipelines and models that facilitate the deployment of our next-generation technologies worldwide. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the strategic design and roadmap development for our data platform.
- Collaborate with operations, product, and engineering teams to promote best practices and develop supporting systems and infrastructure to meet diverse data requirements.
- Oversee the ingestion and egress frameworks for data pipelines that unify various data sources, creating valuable data products that propel business growth.
- Manage Palantir Foundry, our central hub for data-driven applications, visualizations, and large-scale data analysis, ensuring high-quality self-service data access across the organization.
- Utilize SQLMesh for data transformations, allowing engineers to leverage SQL while adhering to software engineering best practices such as version control, testing, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Employ AWS Athena, a serverless solution, for running analytics on our data lake without the hassle of infrastructure management.
- Implement Apache Iceberg as our table format, enabling advanced data management features like schema evolution and time travel queries.
- Utilize Flyte for orchestration, a scalable, Kubernetes-native platform designed for modern orchestration, comparable to Airflow or Dagster.
