Role Overview:
As a pivotal member of our Core Team, you will contribute to the development of Kong, a widely adopted open-source platform used globally. Your focus will be on enhancing core functionalities such as proxying, load balancing, and database integration, while also exploring innovative industry trends and use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain API management software and its architecture.
Architect and implement groundbreaking features that enhance Kong’s capabilities.
Troubleshoot bugs, optimize performance, and conduct low-level enhancements.
Collaborate with the open-source community to expand Kong’s core functionality.
Bridge the gaps between Kong and various third-party platforms and tools.
Perform additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in server-side application development.
Proven track record in designing, prototyping, and debugging scalable and resilient applications.
In-depth technical knowledge of Linux systems and troubleshooting methodologies.
Experience with distributed systems and networking, particularly with APIs on both L7 and L4 protocols.
Ability to thrive in a remote, distributed team environment.
A strong sense of ownership and excellent communication skills.
