About the job
Persona AI is at the forefront of developing and commercializing advanced humanoid robots designed for real-world applications. With a founding team boasting decades of expertise in humanoid robotics, bionics, and product development, Persona is committed to delivering robust hardware that has explored the cosmos, ventured deep into the ocean, and even entertained guests at Disney Parks. Our mission is to produce aesthetically pleasing, reliable products on a massive scale, while fostering a customer-centric team to drive these initiatives.
As part of the Teleoperation Team, you will play a crucial role in connecting biological and artificial intelligence. This position demands the creation of highly optimized, low-latency, and dependable data streaming systems that function effectively under real-world conditions. At Persona AI, we manage the entire hardware and software stack, facilitating seamless integration of hardware, firmware, and backend expertise to develop a state-of-the-art teleoperation system.
We seek a dynamic engineer who will propel the development of this groundbreaking system. You will leverage your expertise across the stack—from low-level networking in C++ and Rust to crafting immersive user experiences in Unreal Engine. If you are enthusiastic about robotics, real-time rendering, and tackling intricate latency issues, this is your chance to significantly shape the architecture of an innovative humanoid fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
Core Application & XR Development
Design and develop the primary Unreal Engine application that enables Remote Operators to interact with our humanoid robots.
Create highly efficient, low-latency data streaming systems that can operate over unreliable real-world network transports.
Produce software that integrates with hardware SDKs for robotic sensing and control, as well as web APIs for data collection and remote operation.
Craft immersive UI/UX for robotic control interfaces, prioritizing usability, safety, and high-fidelity feedback.
Develop frontend systems for Android and embedded Linux AR devices utilizing Rust, C++, and frameworks such as Unity or Stereokit (with OpenXR integration).
Write and optimize custom shaders and rendering pipelines to guarantee high frame rates and visual clarity.
