- The Senior Solvency Metrics Analyst is responsible for producing, analyzing, and evaluating solvency metrics and calculations related to Market Risk, Credit Risk, Counterparty Risk, CVA, and Large Exposures during the production process. This role includes developing financial communications and ad hoc reports to ensure compliance with both regulatory and internal policies, while providing valuable insights to aid in decision-making.
- This position involves executing first-level controls during production cycles and formalizing the control framework for monthly and quarterly closings to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of regulatory indicators. Issues or risks must be identified and escalated to the relevant stakeholders.
- The analyst will conduct thorough case-by-case analyses requested by internal and external stakeholders, including the Risk Department, LOD2 team, and BPCE Groupe, to explain variations and trends, propose action plans for risk mitigation, and enhance performance.
- Administering and enhancing in-house calculation tools is essential, as is the continuous improvement of the reporting environment through the adoption of new technologies and tools, such as business intelligence (BI) systems, leading to streamlined and more effective regulatory reporting processes.
- This role requires responding to inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders concerning performed calculations and providing additional insights and analyses to support decision-making and regulatory reporting endeavors.
- The Senior Solvency Metrics Analyst is also tasked with drafting and updating operating procedures to ensure compliance with evolving regulations and policies and to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of regulatory reporting processes.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening solvency metrics processes.
- Mentor junior staff by providing clear explanations of procedures, fostering technical skills, and sharing best practices.
- Assist the team leader or manager in coordinating resources to ensure the successful execution of projects, alignment with organizational goals, and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
