Join SEAKR Engineering as a Senior Space Electronics Systems Engineer, where you will lead the design, development, testing, and qualification of pivotal electronic subsystems for our cutting-edge products. This role involves collaboration with hardware, firmware, mechanical, power, and software teams to produce robust, radiation-tolerant electronics that adhere to rigorous specifications.
Core Responsibilities
- Subsystem Architecture & Design – Craft and validate the architecture for avionics, payload electronics, power distribution units, and environmental control systems. Generate detailed specifications, system-level block diagrams, and comprehensive test plans.
- Component Selection & Qualification – Assess and choose commercial or radiation-hardened components (COTS, rad-hard) aligning with mission requirements.
- Hardware Development & Production – Manage prototype assembly and oversee production-grade manufacturing processes.
- Test & Validation – Develop and implement system-level test plans encompassing electrical, functional, EMI/EMC, vibration, and thermal testing. Analyze results, compile reports, and lead verification initiatives.
- Systems Integration & Interface Management – Create and uphold electronic interface control documents (ICDs, EID). Collaborate with various teams to address interdisciplinary interface challenges.
- Documentation & Knowledge Management – Produce design specifications, test procedures, and operation manuals. Ensure the maintenance of an up-to-date knowledge base for future reference.
- Communication Skills – Translate mission objectives into technical solutions and effectively represent SEAKR during unit sell-offs and deliveries.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration – Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and promote cross-functional teamwork.
