About the job
Join our team as a Senior Staff Product Designer and take charge of the strategic design framework for our innovative enterprise restaurant management platform. In this pivotal role, you will harmonize the functionalities of our accounting, payroll, inventory, and food cost modules, ensuring they collaborate seamlessly to provide maximum efficiency and effectiveness. You will establish scalable design standards while collaborating closely with executive leadership to refine our product vision, empowering restaurant operators to streamline their entire back office operations.
About Us:
Back Office, a leading SaaS solution under Buyers Edge Platform, revolutionizes traditional restaurant technology systems by integrating Accounting & Bookkeeping, Payroll, Food Cost Management, and AP Automation into one cohesive tech stack. Crafted by restaurant owners for restaurant owners, our platform transcends conventional software, providing expert insights that help operators make swift, informed decisions regarding revenue, labor costs, and compliance. Through ongoing education and an intuitive user interface, independent, multi-location, franchise, and enterprise restaurant groups gain actionable insights, enabling them to make data-driven operational choices!
This is a fully remote role. We are unable to offer sponsorship for work authorization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Define the strategic UX direction for Back Office, ensuring that our accounting, payroll, inventory, food cost, and AP modules function as an interconnected suite rather than disparate tools.
- Adopt a holistic perspective on product vision, mapping how various modules interlink, how data is shared between systems, and how users navigate workflows to manage their restaurant operations effectively.
- Enhance and scale our design system to accommodate enterprise-level complexity, establishing patterns for multi-location hierarchies, role-based permissions, bulk operations, intricate data tables, and integration states.
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to inform product strategy and roadmap, integrating design thinking into decisions that shape the expansion of our platform and support enterprise clients.
- Identify and address design challenges across the platform, including inconsistent navigation patterns and redundant workflows, while proposing scalable solutions.
- Develop design standards and best practices tailored for enterprise B2B software, guiding our team on error handling, user role design, financial data presentation, and navigating complex workflows.
- Drive clarity in design decisions and foster a user-centric culture across the organization.
