Position Overview
The Senior Staffing Specialist is an integral member of our Talent Acquisition team, specializing in the recruitment of exceptional candidates for internship and co-op opportunities across Collins Aerospace in the United States. This role requires a driven individual who thrives in a high-volume recruitment environment and is adept at forging strategic partnerships with hiring managers across our organization.
In this role, you will engage with hiring managers and candidates, including those sourced from on-campus and diversity recruiting initiatives. You will closely collaborate with the Early Careers team, particularly our regional Collins Aerospace University Liaisons and Internship/Co-op Recruiters. A strong understanding of talent acquisition policies and practices, especially in the early talent sector, is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an internal consultant to hiring managers, providing strategic recommendations for sourcing, screening, and hiring internship and co-op talent.
- Manage a substantial volume of early talent internship and co-op requisitions throughout the peak fall and spring recruiting seasons.
- Receive guidance on tasks while demonstrating creativity in decision-making processes regarding requisition fulfillment.
- Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of all recruiting metrics associated with assigned requisitions and candidate management.
- Source and recruit candidates across various backgrounds including engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, human resources, and digital technology.
- Advocate for best practices in early talent recruitment, including timelines, candidate management, and external representation of Collins Aerospace.
- Oversee the complete candidate life-cycle for approved internship/co-op requisitions or collaborate with fellow recruiters as necessary based on volume and seasonal demands.
- Work with the Early Careers team to develop and implement targeted recruiting programs that align with anticipated student staffing needs.
- Complete additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
