We are on the lookout for a Senior Strategic Partner Development Manager to become a vital part of our Partnerships team at Lightspeed. This role is tailored for a strategic thinker and relationship-building expert who excels in creating impactful, long-term partnerships that drive significant results. This position is open to remote candidates across Canada.
Your main focus will be to nurture and grow Lightspeed’s most strategic and high-impact relationships—partnerships that require patience, foresight, and a knack for influence. These are not mere transactional relationships; they are ecosystem strategies designed to unlock growth through collaborative go-to-market execution, integration, and alignment at the executive level.
You'll collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across Partnerships, Product, Marketing, and Sales to design and implement initiatives that yield measurable business outcomes for both Lightspeed and our partners.
Your key responsibilities include:
Partnership Strategy & Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize technology and go-to-market partnership opportunities aligned with our company's growth strategy.
- Build a strong pipeline of independent software vendors (ISVs), payment providers, hardware manufacturers, ERP systems, CRM solutions, and industry-specific partners.
- Conduct market mapping and competitive analysis to pinpoint ecosystem gaps and opportunities.
- Develop robust partnership business cases, assessing revenue potential and strategic value.
Deal Structuring & Negotiation
- Lead partnership discussions and negotiate commercial terms, including referral, reseller, OEM, and integration agreements.
- Define joint value propositions, revenue models, and incentive structures.
- Work with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements.
Activation & Go-to-Market Execution
- Launch new partners with well-defined activation plans and success metrics.
- Develop joint go-to-market strategies, including co-marketing campaigns, sales enablement, and field alignment.
- Equip internal sales teams with knowledge of partner value propositions and workflows.
