AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our vibrant team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With over 8 years of specialized expertise in structural design and a proven history of successfully delivering large-scale urban master plan projects featuring high-rise structures, you will be integral to ensuring the structural integrity and design excellence of our projects. Your advanced technical acumen will empower you to oversee complex structural systems, guide design execution, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to provide top-notch structural engineering solutions.
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Lead thorough reviews and verification programs of structural designs on large-scale urban master plan projects, monitoring intricate structural systems such as foundations, high-rise frameworks, reinforcement strategies, and advanced concrete methodologies to guarantee compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Supervise the precise placement of reinforcement, formwork installation, post-tensioning operations, and concrete sequencing throughout all phases of construction on high-rise and complex structures, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.
- Evaluate and approve designs for temporary works, including falsework, scaffolding, and shoring systems, ensuring their strength, stability, and safety compliance.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Saudi Building Codes and local authority standards while coordinating with design teams, architects, and relevant authorities to address design discrepancies and optimize solutions for site-specific challenges.
- Direct the installation and alignment of complex structural components, ensuring precision and adherence to contract specifications.
- Maintain detailed project records, including design documentation and progress reports, adopting organized and professional documentation practices.
- Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any deviations, providing clear documentation of findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Facilitate progress review and coordination meetings, leveraging your structural design expertise to tackle engineering challenges and enhance project execution.
- Collaborate with design teams, inspection personnel, and contractors, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
