We are seeking a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This position is available in the following locations:
Denver, CO
Phoenix, AZ
Las Vegas, NV
Position Overview:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the design of structural systems for diverse building projects, including K-12 education, higher education, civic and justice, cultural and performing arts, and mixed-use developments. You will lead a team of junior engineers in producing high-quality construction documents utilizing Revit, while effectively managing project timelines to adhere to deliverable requirements. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary design team, you will work closely with various disciplines to create cohesive and innovative building designs. Additionally, you will partner with the regional discipline leader to develop comprehensive work plans, project schedules, budgets, and proposals for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a commitment to excellence in developing structural solutions from concept through construction.
- Take charge of developing system layouts, narratives, calculations, and engineering reports.
- Embrace collaboration with architects, engineers, and clients throughout the integrated design process.
- Adapt to and implement variations in building codes and construction practices across various projects nationwide.
- Generate high-quality construction documents using Revit software.
- Support contractors by reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and participating in O/A/C meetings.
- Mentor and share expertise with entry-level staff to foster their professional growth.
- Drive the promotion of workflow and technical standards best practices within our diverse multi-office operations.
- Assist in managing operations, execution, and expectations for the Structural Engineering Discipline in California.
- Contribute to business development efforts by supporting the RFP process, engaging in project interviews, and actively participating in community outreach.
