Join AFRY as a Senior Structural Engineer and take the lead in the design and execution of innovative structural projects. Our engineers are tasked with the structural design of both new constructions and enhancements of existing structures, facing unique challenges that require expert solutions. Responsibilities include conducting thorough site investigations, delivering exceptional structural engineering, and overseeing the production of detailed modeling and drawings. You will engage in both the initial planning and in-depth engineering phases of multi-discipline projects.
Your Role:
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take on Discipline Lead responsibilities within multi-disciplinary project teams. You will guide a talented team of engineers and designers in crafting and developing the structural components of projects, making critical design recommendations, and ensuring the quality and completion of all construction documents, specifications, reports, and additional project-related documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering efforts for both small and large projects with minimal oversight, managing staff contributions to ensure quality, budget adherence, and schedule alignment throughout all project phases, from conceptualization to construction.
- Assist in the development of proposals and marketing materials by detailing project scopes and activities based on previous projects.
- Define project scopes, structural budgets, and design methodologies.
- Engage with client personnel to aid in preliminary planning and conceptual design identification.
- Collaborate with clients and professional counterparts to deliver projects on time and within budget while striving to exceed client expectations.
- Design structural systems and components for various industrial facilities, ensuring compliance with AFRY quality standards and relevant codes.
- Participate actively in planning, designing, or reviewing plans, closely working with mechanical, process, electrical, architectural, and civil engineering teams.
- Mentor and lead junior staff members.
- Conduct site visits to strengthen client relationships, gather design data, and monitor construction progress.
This position requires a consistent in-office presence.
