ABOUT THE JOB
The Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer for Mechanical Casting is a pivotal, cross-functional role that significantly influences the development and production processes of Anduril’s essential supply network. You will collaborate closely with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing teams, as well as directly liaise with suppliers to implement innovative and effective supply chain strategies that meet production objectives.
We seek an accomplished Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer who will streamline the qualification and execution of product designs with our suppliers, ensuring these designs are optimized for quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the entire product lifecycle.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee and manage mechanical casting commodities/subcategories to implement supplier production strategies from New Product Introduction (NPI) to full-scale production across Anduril’s business divisions.
- Act as a key contributor for the Supply Chain team and broader commodity strategy, exhibiting strong ownership, proactivity, technical proficiency, creativity, independence, and courage.
- Evaluate suppliers' production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce to qualify them for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List.
- Assist Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) in ensuring suppliers comprehend and comply with the quality criteria established by the SQE.
- Lead the implementation of new production tooling and lines, facilitating development at supplier locations to guarantee that materials, processes, and tools meet product performance, quality standards, and demand requirements.
- Manage capacity readiness and production ramp-up at supplier sites.
- Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at supplier locations.
- Identify and implement product and process enhancements, optimizing factory layouts at supplier sites to reduce part costs.
