Role Summary: We are in search of a skilled Senior Tax Accountant to oversee the preparation of business, trust, and complex individual tax returns. The role emphasizes small business advisory and tax planning, working closely with the Director and Associate to produce high-quality deliverables independently while engaging directly with clients. This position initially focuses on individual contributions, with opportunities for future leadership roles managing junior accountants and bookkeepers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file business, trust, and complex individual tax returns
- Deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services, particularly for small businesses
- Review work from junior accountants to ensure precision and compliance
- Communicate directly with clients and resolve queries independently
- Contribute to small business advisory services as a key responsibility
- Ensure all work papers and supporting documents are accurate and compliant
