About the job
Join Zoox’s Advanced Hardware Engineering team, where we are at the forefront of developing cutting-edge autonomous hardware, including sophisticated sensing suites and electronic control units essential for our next-generation self-driving vehicles. A pivotal aspect of our innovative architecture is the Camera Sensor Suite, which serves as the core visual system, delivering high-resolution RGB and infrared data that empowers our AI technology to interpret and navigate the surrounding environment effectively.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to lead the Camera program from inception to completion. This role encompasses managing integrated timelines for our 5MP and LWIR (thermal) camera systems, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in sensor engineering, computer vision software, systems safety, supply chain, and vehicle integration to meet both strategic objectives and tactical milestones.
In this dynamic role, you will develop intricate project schedules that account for various hardware and software dependencies, align sensor-specific milestones with major vehicle builds, mitigate technical risks, and oversee program budgets. Your ability to identify solutions to complex integration challenges and effectively manage ambiguity will be essential, as will your skill in holding teams accountable and communicating progress to senior leadership.
At Zoox, we thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, and you will have the opportunity to wear multiple hats. If you are passionate about tackling intricate problems across diverse engineering teams and enhancing your impact through structured methodologies, we want to hear from you! This role is ideal for someone adept at unifying cross-functional stakeholders, fostering technical consensus, and driving high-precision hardware from concept to standard operating procedures.
