ABOUT THE JOB
As a Senior Technical Program Manager focused on the Autonomous Airpower Business Line, you will lead groundbreaking technology development initiatives within our Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolio. Your role will also encompass managing the execution of capture programs and overseeing early-phase projects that have been successfully secured. This position demands versatility, as you will navigate a diverse range of hardware and software technologies while adapting to evolving circumstances. Your ability to collaborate with a variety of technical stakeholders, communicate effectively, and coordinate efforts across teams will be crucial to achieving our strategic objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the scoping and execution of IRAD initiatives that form the backbone of the Autonomous Airpower IRAD Portfolio, paving the way for a multi-year strategic roadmap.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, chief engineers, program managers, business operations, and finance, to fulfill IRAD objectives.
- Establish and monitor technical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure that investments in each IRAD initiative yield a positive Return on Investment (ROI).
- Support the execution of functional engineering roadmaps, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals and program requirements.
- Manage capture programs by identifying opportunities, evaluating feasibility, formulating a successful strategy, and assisting with proposal development.
- Direct the execution of early-phase programs that have been secured, emphasizing strong external customer relationship management.
