About The Role
Join us as a pivotal technical leader driving the development of sophisticated defense proposals throughout Europe. As a Senior Technical Sales Engineer, you will be the internal technical authority for proposal creation, solution architecture, and bid execution across all Destinus product lines, including Interceptor programs, RUTA, KRYLA, and future innovations. This position plays a crucial role in supporting Heads of Commercial Product, local Business Development teams, and the broader Commercial organization—ensuring that we deliver technically robust, compliant, and competitive solutions to our government and defense clientele.

What You’ll Do
Proposal Development and Execution
- Lead the technical response strategy and architecture for significant RFI/RFP/RFQ submissions across all product lines.
- Develop comprehensive technical solution narratives, compliance matrices, technical volumes, and Statements of Work (SoW) and Statements of Task (SoT) annexes.
- Coordinate inputs from Engineering, Operations, Finance, Program Management, Legal, and Export Control to produce coherent, compliant proposals.
- Support pricing strategies with cost-informed technical trade-offs, clear assumptions, and sensitivity analyses.
- Prepare technical briefing documents and position papers for Business Development and Product Heads for customer interactions.
Central Tooling and Knowledge Management
- Oversee and enhance the central bid toolchain, including ROM pricing models, BoM templates, standard SoW/SoT blocks, service/ILS options, and integration reference architectures.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of validated performance claims and technical evidence (test data, combat data, TRL status) for use by Product Heads and Business Development in customer engagements and proposals.
- Ensure consistency in naming, specifications, and technical claims across all product families, validated with Product and Engineering teams.
- Develop and uphold standard proposal templates, compliance checklists, and bid process playbooks to enhance speed and repeatability.
Governance and Quality Assurance
- Lead internal technical bid reviews (gates 0/1/2) for major pursuits to mitigate risks prior to submission.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with product baselines, TRL status, industrial capacity, export constraints, and delivery timelines.
