RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Senior Protector at AWP Safety, you will play a pivotal role in championing our mission to safeguard our customers' people, businesses, and time. Your primary responsibility will be managing the flow of vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic through work zones using hand signals and a STOP/SLOW paddle. You'll review, understand, and implement temporary traffic control plans and standards to ensure the proper installation and maintenance of work zones.
- Collaborate with customers to guarantee the safety of all personnel.
- Establish, maintain, and dismantle Advance Warning Signs, Channelizing Devices, and other traffic control instruments according to Federal, State, and Local Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines.
- Maintain a Flagger Station, effectively directing road users with hand signals.
- Operate a company vehicle to transport equipment, trailers, and team members to various work sites safely and punctually.
- Maintain effective radio communication with team members on site.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and practices.
- Report any potential safety hazards or incidents to your Supervisor.
- Complete required training within the designated timeframe as set by the Project or Facility Manager.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and mentorship to fellow Protectors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
