The Senior Union Payroll Specialist plays a pivotal role in overseeing intricate payroll processing while ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and union agreements. This position requires precise wage calculations and thorough management of withholdings and deductions to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer complex payrolls while adhering to all relevant provincial laws and union mandates.
- Ensure accuracy in wage calculations, withholdings, deductions, and necessary adjustments.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide actionable recommendations to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with diverse federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
- Review and enhance payroll processes in alignment with company policies.
- Generate and deliver reports, including year-end summaries, union fringe benefits, and GL data for both the United States and Canada.
- Stay informed of and implement union updates impacting payroll configurations.
- Maintain and organize required payroll documentation and records.
- Facilitate internal and external audits.
- Perform bank and tax reconciliations on payroll, quarterly, and annually.
- Safeguard employee confidence by keeping payroll information confidential.
Work Environment:
This role offers the flexibility of fully remote work with standard working hours and additional flexibility as necessary. As part of a large team primarily working remotely, you will benefit from extensive remote training and consistent team communication.
Job Type & Location:This is a Contract position based out of Denver, CO.
Compensation and Benefits:The hourly pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00. Eligibility requirements apply for certain benefits, which may vary based on job classification and length of employment.
