We invite you to become a vital member of our innovative and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller. You will have the flexibility to work from any of our offices across the UK or Ireland while enjoying the benefits of our hybrid working model.
In this pivotal role, you will drive impactful water projects both in the UK and internationally. Our commitment to delivering significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction initiatives, and cutting-edge infrastructure projects will be instrumental to your ongoing professional development. One distinctive feature of our approach is the seamless integration of our modelling team with other project teams, ensuring collaboration with experts in various fields to devise comprehensive solutions.
As frontrunners in Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, we collaborate with a diverse range of clients in both the public and private sectors, including Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northern Ireland Water, and the Environment Agency. Our portfolio encompasses Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, Outline Business Cases, hydraulic models, and detailed designs. We are dedicated to setting industry benchmarks by shaping standards and providing guidance that exemplifies best practices, keeping AECOM at the forefront of the water industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Construct hydraulic models and verify sewer networks; lead integrated model development, assist in project scoping and planning, including flow survey verification, and creating strategic solutions for flood and pollution risks.
- Innovative Solutions: Introduce technical advancements, apply new technologies, solve complex client challenges, and prepare scopes and tender responses.
- Effective Communication: Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to articulate modelling results clearly, leveraging strong communication skills.
- Mentorship: Guide and support team members in their professional journeys while cultivating positive client relationships.
- Quality Assurance: Review hydraulic models, calculations, and technical reports to ensure high-quality project delivery and compliance with modelling standards.
