Join our vibrant and multidisciplinary Water Team as a Senior Wastewater Hydraulic Modeller. You have the flexibility to work from one of our UK or Ireland offices while benefiting from our flexible hybrid working model.
In this pivotal role, you will contribute to significant water projects both in the UK and internationally. Our team specializes in developing major flood alleviation initiatives, pollution mitigation strategies, and essential infrastructure projects, providing you with a diverse range of experiences that will enhance your professional development. Notably, our modelling team operates in full collaboration with other project teams, ensuring that our modellers engage closely with specialists in various fields to formulate comprehensive solutions.
As a recognized leader in Blue-Green infrastructure and nature-based solutions, we collaborate with both public and private clients, including Severn Trent, Anglian Water, Northern Ireland Water, the Environment Agency, LLFAs, and various infrastructure providers. We conduct Flood Risk Assessments, develop Drainage Strategies, outline Business Cases, create hydraulic models, and produce detailed designs. We set industry benchmarks by providing advisory services and developing guidelines that uphold best practices, positioning AECOM at the forefront of the water industry. This role presents an extraordinary opportunity to support a talented and diverse team dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Model Development: Construct hydraulic models and validate sewer networks; conduct integrated model development, assist with project scoping and planning, including flow survey validation, and create strategic catchment-scale solutions for flooding and pollution challenges.
- Innovative Solutions: Drive technical advancements through the adoption of new technologies; troubleshoot for clients and develop project scopes and tender submissions.
- Reporting: Compile and convey technical reports, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate modelling outcomes utilizing strong communication skills.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support team members in their professional growth while fostering positive client interactions.
- Quality Assurance: Review hydraulic models, calculations, and technical reports to ensure quality delivery and compliance with modelling standards.
