Join AECOM as a Senior Water Resources Engineer in our Salt Lake City office, where you'll be at the forefront of hydrology and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and municipal water projects. This pivotal role entails leading the delivery of significant infrastructure projects while preparing you for a technical lead position with project management responsibilities. As the ideal candidate, you will offer technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, foster client relationships, and contribute to business development within our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineer or discipline lead for mid- to large-scale water resources and stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of construction packages, including design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, alternatives analyses, technical memoranda, and design reports.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering projects focusing on stormwater management systems.
- Conduct and supervise hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support drainage, flood mitigation, and roadway projects.
- Lead the conceptual and final design of water management infrastructure, including channels, culverts, detention facilities, levees, floodwalls, spillways, and associated access features.
- Ensure that designs incorporate erosion control measures, geosynthetics, and surface and subsurface drainage systems.
- Provide technical oversight and approvals on engineering analyses and design deliverables.
- Manage and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams, typically involving five or more team members, including subcontractors.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to junior engineers and designers.
- Support client coordination, present design solutions, and engage in the development of project proposals and initiatives for business growth.
