Your Impact
As a Senior Wireless Software Engineer, you will lead the development of next-generation, mission-critical communication systems utilized by public safety professionals globally. You will be responsible for designing and implementing wireless protocol stacks, transport abstraction layers, and real-time communication systems that enhance our devices. This role combines RF engineering, embedded systems, and cloud-connected software.
This is a hands-on technical role with extensive architectural influence.
Work Location: This position is based in one of Axon's US hubs in Atlanta, Boston, Scottsdale (HQ), San Francisco, or Seattle. The role follows a hybrid schedule; team members are expected to collaborate in-person four days a week (Tuesday to Friday), with Monday as a remote workday unless specific accommodations are arranged.

What You'll Do:
Your responsibilities will include addressing challenging wireless problems faced by our products: translating research into resilient, high-performance PHY/MAC systems, architecting firmware and toolchains that meet stringent latency, power, and reliability targets, and defining a wireless roadmap that balances innovation with manufacturability and real-world performance. You will influence how our devices connect and operate at scale, from lab prototypes to fully deployed fleets. Your work will be evaluated based on real-world performance in the field, not just theoretical models. This role demands both RF knowledge and comprehensive systems software expertise, establishing the reliability and trustworthiness of our entire communications platform.
