Northern Healthcare Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Manager for our Supported Living unit in Hull. As part of our organizational growth, this role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet the needs of our tenants and staff while maintaining economic viability and effective resource management.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) or Occupational Therapist with relevant experience in similar environments. This role includes a variety of responsibilities, such as:
- Conducting assessments and managing tenant care.
- Overseeing care pathways and ensuring out-of-hours support.
- Facilitating regular staff meetings to foster an environment of open communication regarding practices and development.
- Supporting staff through supervision, appraisals, and training to enhance their effectiveness.
- Ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and CQC standards.
- Identifying and proactively addressing performance issues among staff.
- Participating in staff recruitment and managing employee sickness and absence.
- Coordinating ongoing training initiatives both internally and externally.
- Overseeing incident management and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Managing building maintenance and conducting regular inspections, including PAT Testing.
- Ensuring adherence to tenancy agreements and managing unit finances, including petty cash and budget oversight.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Connecting with local communities to enhance services and promote understanding of mental health issues.
- Building rapport with residents and their families while identifying business development opportunities.
- Engaging in regular supervision with your line manager and participating in necessary training.
- Actively reviewing personal performance and development needs to foster both personal and service growth.
- Upholding the core values of Northern Healthcare and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our objectives.
- Any additional duties as required.
