About the job
Are you a skilled sewing professional with extensive experience in operating sewing machines, managing production lines, and garment assembly? We invite you to play a crucial role in shaping how artificial intelligence comprehends manufacturing tasks. With AI systems increasingly simulating factory operations and production processes, the accuracy of these systems relies on training data derived from authentic sewing environments. This foundational training data is provided by individuals who possess firsthand experience in the field.
We are on the lookout for Sewing Specialists who have practical, hands-on experience with sewing machines and garment production lines. Your expertise should encompass sewing line operations, task flow management between workstations, and functions of multi-purpose manufacturing operators that facilitate material handling and production efficiency. You will be tasked with testing AI models against realistic sewing and assembly scenarios, including machine operation, workflow coordination, production pacing, and resolving common operational challenges found on the factory floor.
On any given day, your responsibilities will include engaging with the model on sewing and production-line scenarios, verifying its comprehension of sewing operations against real-world practices, assessing descriptions of machine usage and line coordination, analyzing workflow inefficiencies or errors, documenting any gaps in model understanding, and providing constructive feedback to enhance the model’s reasoning regarding garment production work.
We value general sewing and garment manufacturing experience, as well as familiarity with industrial sewing machines, assembly-line processes, and the daily operations of production. While formal education is not a requirement, hands-on experience in sewing, sewing line management, or factory floor support is highly regarded. Clear communication skills and the ability to articulate how sewing work is conducted in production environments are essential.
Are you ready to leverage your sewing and production-line experience to contribute to the development of tomorrow’s AI? Apply now and help educate the model on the true processes behind garment creation.
We offer a competitive pay range of $6 to $15 per hour, with the final rate determined based on your experience, expertise, and geographic location. Please note that as a contractor, you will need to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet; company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and PTO do not apply.
