Join IPS as a Shift Controller, where you will oversee production lines and manage workforce operations to achieve targeted volume and commercial objectives while complying with quality assurance and safety protocols. You will set the standard for best practices and provide guidance to Line Leaders when needed.
Work involves rotational shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and motivate team members to achieve production goals.
- Ensure products meet client specifications (SPI).
- Maximize production efficiency to meet hourly and daily targets.
- Utilize integrated management systems effectively.
- Promote adherence to health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene audits, both internal and external.
- Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintain cleanliness.
- Assist in developing a skills matrix for all production staff.
- Attend Line Leader meetings and relevant training sessions as required.
- Support the identification and development of Line Leaders for succession planning.
- Contribute to the training and onboarding of new employees.
- Serve as a model for best practices.
- Monitor and reduce waste.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct return-to-work assessments for line workers.
- Engage in the company’s Personal Development Plan (PDP) program.
- Conduct disciplinary investigations as per company procedures.
- Act as a machinery knowledge specialist.
- Pursue personal development through training and hands-on experience.
- Manage production output and address issues as they arise.
- Fill in for the Area Manager during absences.
- Communicate with customers and clients as necessary.
- Be prepared to cover various shifts as part of the management team.
- Perform other duties as required that align with the scope of the role.
