Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Shift Supervisor for our In-Vehicle Team to cultivate a top-tier AV operator team that will drive our operational success and meet Nuro's ambitious objectives. As a frontline manager, you will oversee the hiring and onboarding of operators, manage their professional growth and performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders within operations and other departments to ensure that your team's contributions align with the company's key performance indicators.
Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead the hiring and onboarding process for new operators, collaborating with the Learning & Development team to refine our interview and onboarding procedures.
- Employee Development: Manage and mentor a team of approximately 20 operators, providing feedback and ensuring their training and competencies are current.
- Performance Oversight: Conduct performance reviews for your team members in accordance with established metrics, working with stakeholders to refine these metrics as necessary.
Operational Execution:
- Manage start and end of shift activities, including operator attendance tracking, supporting software updates, and equipment preparation.
- Coordinate with the planning team to ensure all operators are appropriately trained for new feature rollouts.
