The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in optimizing logistics operations by managing shipments, overseeing shipping documentation, and ensuring precise record-keeping within ERP and Warehouse Management Systems. This position requires close collaboration with carriers, drivers, customer service, and warehouse teams to guarantee timely, compliant, and efficient processing of shipments. This is a day shift role.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the main liaison for carriers and drivers, handling gate coordination and documentation.
Organize and schedule inbound and outbound shipments along with coordinating truck appointments.
Prepare and verify shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
Ensure order accuracy through the use of pick sheets and FIFO inventory practices.
Utilize ERP/WMS systems to execute shipping transactions and maintain precise shipment records.
Create shipping reports, track shipments, and relay status updates to internal stakeholders.
Monitor the inventory of shipping supplies and communicate restocking needs to management.
Conduct audits of shipping transactions and documentation to ensure compliance with regulations.
Work in conjunction with customer service, operations, and carriers to troubleshoot shipping issues and enhance efficiency.
Adhere to company safety, food safety, environmental, and GMP policies while supporting other site requirements as needed.
Be willing and able to work overtime as required.
