As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator at Clean Earth, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operations of our Service Center. Reporting directly to the Service Center General Manager, Sr. Service Center Manager, Service Center Manager, or Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to facilitate timely and accurate shipping and receiving processes. This role necessitates frequent communication with team members and occasional interaction with clients, all while managing a significant volume of data entry. You will adhere to all relevant Federal, State, and Local Department of Transportation regulations, as well as our internal policies and procedures. Depending on the Service Center's needs, your focus may tilt towards shipping or receiving duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping:
- Notify customers within your assigned territories 24 hours in advance regarding next-day service.
- Update Client Services or Dispatchers on order modifications.
- Ensure accuracy in outgoing shipments of supplies, equipment, and materials.
Receiving:
- Identify incoming materials and complete necessary documentation.
- Sign manifests upon arrival and prepare billing packets as required.
- Input order updates to account for Transportation, Supplies, or Demurrage charges post-delivery.
Service Center Coordination:
- Review the 10-day log from your supervisor after daily yard inspections, reconciling it with the manifests tracking system.
- Manage inventory and order office supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE), through our internal system.
- Evaluate Drivers’ data from electronic logbooks for compliance with DOT regulations and report any discrepancies to the Transportation Supervisor or Manager.
- Compile driver load sheet information into a daily report for accurate inventory management.
- Prepare necessary manifests and land disposal restriction forms while maintaining organized filing systems.
- Gather and input data to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making, including metrics on labor hours, equipment usage, and material consumption.
