Role Overview
The Shipping Clerk / Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our Operations and Supply Chain teams by effectively managing the inbound and outbound flow of shipments across various warehouses, distribution partners, and logistics providers.
In this position, you will ensure that all shipments are processed accurately, dispatched timely, and properly documented within our logistics systems. You will be instrumental in maintaining shipment visibility, facilitating operational reporting, and ensuring seamless coordination between our internal teams and external partners.
This role also provides growth opportunities into broader supply chain functions, which may include chargeback management, trade spend coordination, and logistics optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment Coordination
- Oversee and manage inbound and outbound shipments throughout our warehouse and distribution networks.
- Ensure all shipments are processed and dispatched according to schedule.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address any delivery delays, exceptions, or discrepancies.
Logistics Documentation & Tracking
- Maintain comprehensive records of shipping documentation, shipment tracking, and inventory movements.
- Ensure accurate recording of shipping data within logistics systems and spreadsheets.
- Assist in shipment reconciliation and resolving issues.
Cross-Functional Communication
- Regularly communicate with internal teams, warehouses, and logistics partners regarding shipment updates.
- Escalate any operational issues that could affect delivery timelines or fulfillment accuracy.
Operations Support
- Support the Director of Merchandise Planning or Senior Manager of Supply Chain Operations with operational reporting and shipment visibility.
- Help gather and report on shipping performance and operational metrics.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance shipping efficiency and operational processes.
Growth & Development Opportunities
As the business expands, you may take on additional supply chain responsibilities, including:
- Assisting with chargeback management processes.
- Supporting trade spend tracking.
- Participating in logistics optimization initiatives.
