Summary:
The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a crucial role in enhancing clinical care by supporting various healthcare activities. The MA is responsible for escorting patients to examinations, conducting initial interviews, obtaining vital physical measurements and health histories, and facilitating the scheduling of appointments and tests. Additionally, the MA collects specimens, administers selected medications, provides patients with pertinent information regarding appointments and treatments, and offers assistance to physicians and other staff members as needed.
