As a full-time, onsite Social Media Specialist, you will spearhead the development, execution, and management of our organic social media strategies across multiple verticals. Collaborating closely with our talented product marketing managers, you will be responsible for crafting detailed content calendars, creating captivating content in various formats (text, images, videos), scheduling posts, and monitoring community interactions. You may even have the chance to showcase your skills live at industry events!
Success in this role means you will grow our follower base, enhance awareness for our diverse products and verticals, create high-quality posts and campaigns (our goal is to go viral!), drive product sales, and tackle challenges with efficiency and respect. Bonus points if you have experience in sourcing, negotiating, and cultivating relationships with niche, micro, and macro influencers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm and develop content ideas for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
- Plan content calendars for all social media channels at least one month in advance.
- Create original and engaging written and video content, along with appealing graphics.
- Schedule and publish content across platforms.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement.
- Respond to comments and messages on UWorld's channels, as well as engage with relevant posts from others.
- Compile and report on social media performance metrics.
- Research, identify, and connect with influencers aligned with our vertical goals.
- Analyze trends and adapt strategies as social media platforms evolve.
- Represent UWorld at conferences and other industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Sprout Social and Canva.
- Experience in influencer marketing.
- Understanding of SEO and its relevance in social media.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience managing multiple social media channels in a corporate or agency setting.
- Strong knowledge of posting guidelines, trends, and best practices across various social media platforms.
