Essential Job Functions:
All United Charter teachers collaborate with a diverse student body to cultivate content knowledge and skills through teamwork, reading, writing, and authentic exploration. Our vision is to provide equal access to educational opportunities, recognizing and embracing learner diversity while removing barriers to learning. Teachers at United Charter schools will:
- Create engaging and accessible curriculum aligned with content standards.
- Evaluate student progress through both formal and informal assessment methods.

Social Studies teachers specifically work to develop students' knowledge and skills through exploration, reading, discussion, and writing. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing all students for success on the New York State Regents Social Studies exams while emphasizing the development of students’ critical thinking skills.
