As a key player in our team, the Software Developer / Senior Scientist I/II for Laboratory Automation (Robotics Applications), you will help spearhead our automation initiatives within the R&D environment at AbbVie, both locally and globally. We are transitioning towards Laboratory 4.0, where we systematically analyze our processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability through laboratory and process automation. We are looking for an innovative and self-motivated individual who possesses strong programming skills and a deep understanding of laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently develop applications focusing on data handling, systems integration (ELN, LIMS), device control, and user interfaces for custom automation.
- Implement complex automation solutions and manage proof-of-concept (POC) projects across various departments.
- Conduct process analyses to identify automation opportunities, and oversee their conception, realization, and documentation.
- Play a leading role in initiatives aimed at enhancing automation processes within AbbVie.
- Act as the interface between our automation team and the Information Research (IR) group within internal IT.
