About the Role
As a Software Engineer - Validation, you will be instrumental in developing the essential infrastructure for testing our systems, effectively creating the "machine that tests the machine." This role bridges Hardware, Software, and DevOps, as you work to construct hardware test benches and software pipelines that allow our validation team to efficiently scale testing from one drone to a hundred.
Responsibilities
Automation: Create Python scripts and tools to streamline log analysis, telemetry parsing, and report generation.
CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with the software team to embed physical hardware tests into our continuous integration pipeline.
HIL Development: Design and construct Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test benches that simulate flight conditions within a lab setting.
Bonus: Design mechanical fixtures and jigs using CAD to facilitate consistent physical testing.
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Mechatronics.
Strong proficiency in Python (C++ is a bonus).
Experience in building test benches, HIL systems, or automated test equipment (ATE).
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Git, and working in Linux environments.
Bonus: Background in robotics or drones is an advantage.
Bonus: Mechanical design skills (CAD) for developing custom testing rigs.
