About This Position:
Join Charge Robotics, an innovative startup dedicated to revolutionizing the construction of utility-scale solar farms. Our cutting-edge technology automates mechanical installation processes that have historically depended on extensive manual labor. We are seeking seasoned construction leaders who possess a thorough understanding of these processes to help implement our solutions.
As the Solar Site Superintendent, you will be the on-site authority overseeing all construction activities including tracker/racking assembly and module installation. You will collaborate closely with our robotics and automation engineering teams. Your extensive field experience will empower you to shape the future of solar farm construction.
This role is not your typical EPC position. You will thrive in a dynamic startup environment where processes are being established, feedback loops are rapid, and your expertise will directly influence product development and deployment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Leadership & Operations
Lead and oversee Foremen and craft labor on-site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all mechanical scopes.
Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor resources to optimize production while managing costs.
Develop and maintain crew matrices, equipment plans, and production schedules; continuously reconcile actuals against established work plans and budgets.
Mentor and coach field supervision, cultivating the next generation of solar construction leaders.
Act as the project lead and primary contact for our customers.
Robotics Deployment
Collaborate with robotics engineers and field application teams to deploy automated installation equipment alongside traditional construction methods.
Provide practical construction feasibility feedback that informs equipment design, workflow sequencing, and deployment strategies.
Promote the adoption of new tools and processes among field crews, connecting technology development with job site realities.
Assist in documenting operational insights, field performance data, and process improvements to accelerate product iterations.
Safety & Quality
Foster a culture of safety and quality across all job sites.
