Our gastro pub serves a diverse menu that celebrates both modern and traditional British cuisine, utilizing the finest seasonal ingredients sourced locally. With a well-equipped kitchen and a dedicated team of five chefs, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment while contributing to the culinary excellence of our establishment.
This role comes with the option of affordable accommodation, and you will typically work an average of 50 hours over five days a week. We also offer an attractive salary that includes a structured weekly bonus and tips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, overseeing all food outlets within the pub.
- Collaborate with senior management to enhance the overall business strategy.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and compliance.
- Minimize food waste through effective management.
- Assist in the development of junior chefs within the brigade.
- Design and implement seasonal menus in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Engage in daily food preparation and service tasks.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff.
- Utilize computer skills for operational tasks.
