Position Summary:
TRS is in search of a dynamic, proactive, and mission-driven Special Assistant to the Executive Director. This crucial role is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and administrative support at the highest echelons of TRS.
The Special Assistant will serve as a trusted advisor and operational partner to the Executive Director, helping to advance executive priorities, enhance organizational alignment, and ensure effective communication across TRS departments, trustees, and external stakeholders. The position demands exceptional judgment, discretion, and the capacity to manage complex, sensitive, and time-critical situations with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Support
- Track and monitor progress on executive initiatives, strategic priorities, and organization-wide projects.
- Conduct research, analysis, and issue reviews to assist in executive decision-making and policy formulation.
- Ensure deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up actions are met for timely and effective execution.
Executive Support & Coordination
- Provide direct, high-level support to the Executive Director, including managing the calendar, prioritizing commitments, and preparing briefings.
- Draft and refine briefing materials, talking points, reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Oversee the coordination of materials and logistics for leadership meetings and executive engagements.
Governance & Stakeholder Liaison
- Facilitate the preparation, logistics, and documentation for Board of Trustees and committee meetings.
- Act as a liaison between executive leadership, internal departments, trustees, and external partners.
- Stay informed on governance protocols, compliance requirements, and agency policies to ensure alignment.
Project Management
- Assist in cross-functional projects and initiatives led by the Executive Office or Operations Department.
- Monitor milestones, risks, and outcomes to ensure successful project delivery.
