Position Summary:
The Special Education Academic Coach I plays a vital role in supporting students with diverse educational needs, ensuring they have full access to the general education curriculum. This position is crucial for maintaining a low student-teacher ratio and providing individualized attention to foster student success.
Key Responsibilities:
● Facilitate instruction and supervision for students with learning differences.
● Conduct tutorial activities for individuals or small groups of students with learning differences.
● Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to evaluations and parent conferences as needed.
● Build meaningful relationships with students to enhance their behavior, academic performance, and social interactions.
● Perform clerical tasks such as typing, document preparation, and record-keeping, which may include note-taking for students.
