KIPP Academy Boston Charter School is seeking dedicated, empathetic, and culturally aware Aides who are committed to unlocking the potential of our students. Aides play an integral role in supporting students who need additional assistance to thrive academically and socially.
In collaboration with teachers, school leaders, students, and families, you will help to ensure that our students grow both socially and academically, equipping them with the necessary skills to succeed in school and beyond. Your partnership with the Lead Teacher will foster a rigorous yet accessible learning environment, enhancing student engagement and achievement.

Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:
- Provide individualized support to students (1:1) and/or small groups, ensuring they receive the attention required beyond the general classroom setting.
- Work under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and/or Supervisor to complement classroom instruction, maximizing learning opportunities for students.
- Assist in customizing curriculum modifications for specific students as needed.
- Support Lead Teachers, Residents, and/or Fellows by executing lesson plans and preparing learning materials.
- Facilitate testing accommodations, supervising students in separate environments or extending testing times as required.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on student assignments.
- Implement behavioral intervention plans, employing positive reinforcement and behavior modification techniques to ensure student safety and success.
- Encourage self-advocacy among students regarding their needs within the classroom.
- Support social interactions and cultivate positive relationships between students and their peers and teachers.
- Continuously assess student progress, communicate findings, and utilize data to inform instructional decisions and set goals.
- Assist with physical needs of students as necessary.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Complete required qualifications for an Aide within one year of hire, including one of the following: Associate’s Degree, 48 college credit hours, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment (minimum score of 464).
