Position Title: Special Inspector - ICC Reinforced Concrete

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive inspections of reinforced concrete components throughout all construction phases to confirm adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Evaluate and authenticate construction documents, plans, and specifications prior to conducting inspections.
- Create detailed reports on inspection findings and maintain meticulous records of compliance and non-compliance issues.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and construction teams to address inspection discrepancies and improve quality assurance.
- Guide and counsel construction teams on best practices and safety protocols related to reinforced concrete tasks.
- Remain informed on updates to construction codes, standards, and technological advancements.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid ICC Reinforced Concrete Inspector certification is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in reinforced concrete inspection within a construction environment.
- Thorough understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and processes pertinent to concrete work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and teamwork.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to operate independently and make informed decisions based on established best practices.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with additional inspection certifications (e.g., masonry, structural steel) is advantageous.
- Experience with relevant software tools for documentation and reporting is a plus.
