Key Responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, and train volunteer leaders, adhering to all safety protocols and onboarding procedures to guarantee proper training and background checks.
- Develop personal relationships with families and volunteers through direct interactions, school visits, and proactive community engagement.
- Support both new and existing families by providing customized resources and assistance to meet their specific needs.
- Oversee all facets of the Special Needs Ministry to ensure that programming is inclusive, impactful, and consistent with church values.
- Communicate the vision to parents regarding available resources, guiding them on how to nurture their children's spiritual development at home.
- Ensure the ministry operates efficiently and effectively, meeting key objectives.
- Create a joyful, engaging, and safe atmosphere for individuals with special needs to experience God's love and grow spiritually.
- Collaborate with the Campus Pastor to enhance overall and special needs attendance on campus.
- Lead and empower the ministry team to ensure objectives are met and resources are allocated wisely.
- Help plan and execute major church events such as Night to Shine, Dad/Daughter Dinner, Volunteer Appreciation, Easter, Christmas Eve services, Exceptional Stars, Special Needs Camp, and Kids Camp.
Uphold the Vision and Mission of the Special Needs Ministry
- Build and maintain strong connections with parents, volunteers, and church leadership.
- Inspire and equip volunteers and staff to effectively lead within the special needs ministry.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding of the Rock system to manage attendance, check-ins, and volunteer scheduling effectively.
