Position Overview:
As a Seamstress in our Special Services department, you will play a crucial role in processing, packaging, and shipping specialized customer orders, including product samples, corporate gifts, thank you cards, and information packets for prospective customers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Utilize internal systems such as High Jump and Ody to manage customer information.
- Collaborate effectively with leadership and team members to ensure precise and timely processing of specialized orders.
- Measure garments accurately and operate a sewing machine to fulfill special orders.
- Respond to customer inquiries through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Maintain detailed department records and document any errors for reporting and analysis.
- Carefully fold and package customer items for gifting.
- Assemble color swatch samples and manage an inventory of swatch cards.
- Safely operate equipment, such as the swatch press, grommet punch, and paper cutter.
- Communicate with corporate representatives to procure supplies for the department.
- Engage with account executives professionally to resolve incomplete orders.
- Assist in training new staff and address employee inquiries as needed.
- Handle equipment responsibly, ensuring it is returned in good condition.
