Key Responsibilities:Oversee external custom device development, collaborating with both domestic and international foundries. This includes monitoring lot status, split plans, and detailed documentation.Draft statements of work for vendor engagement, supporting procurement and contract negotiations with critical suppliers.Collaborate cross-functionally within IonQ to gather essential information for foundry partners, including specifications, risk mitigation strategies, and complex interdependencies, working closely with design, layout, testing, and packaging teams.Develop and implement plans to mitigate technical and scheduling risks, ensuring timely delivery of fully processed devices.Analyze metrology data to assess compliance; work with the validation team to review and update tolerances based on new findings or simulations.Assist in root cause failure analysis for microfabricated devices both internally and with external partners, tracking and resolving risks effectively.Monitor project performance in terms of cost, schedule, and technical capabilities, proactively addressing issues as they arise during development.You would be a great addition if you have:A Master's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.3+ years of experience in managing R&D projects, new product introductions (NPI), or low-volume manufacturing teams, particularly in semiconductor devices utilizing commercial foundry processes.A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering roles.
