About the Team & Opportunity
*This is a hybrid role requiring you to work in our San Francisco office two times a week.
We are seeking a Staff Product Designer for our New Products team, where you will have a unique chance to influence the future of Calendly’s multi-product strategy. This role focuses on incubating and validating innovative 0-to-1 product concepts, many of which harness the power of AI. As an essential team member, you will shape the user experience for millions, designing simple, intuitive solutions that enhance our users' daily productivity.
We believe that outstanding design begins with user engagement and that the best outcomes arise from interdisciplinary collaboration. You will be part of Calendly’s exceptional Design team, working closely with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Content Designers, Design Systems specialists, Product Managers, and Engineers to bring new, valuable solutions to life for our customers.
A Day in the Life of a Staff Product Designer on the New Products Team at Calendly
On a typical day, you will:
- Lead design initiatives across multiple complex areas, crafting user-friendly experiences that drive customer value.
- Design comprehensive, scalable solutions that harmonize user needs, business objectives, and system constraints.
- Conduct discovery and research to grasp customer challenges and guide product direction.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research, other Designers, Content Design, and Design Systems to align decisions and navigate tradeoffs.
- Present clear recommendations through compelling storytelling to unite teams and leaders.
- Identify and implement system-level enhancements to elevate the product's quality, consistency, and usability.
- Contribute to the design team’s growth by mentoring peers, engaging in critiques, sharing expertise, and enhancing design quality and culture.
