Role Overview:
Connected Asset Maintenance (CAM) represents one of Samsara’s most promising software initiatives, concentrated on redefining asset and fleet maintenance from traditional, reactive processes to AI-driven, predictive maintenance programs. We are developing a sophisticated platform that integrates rich IoT and telematics data, user-friendly interfaces, and streamlined workflows, enabling our clients to minimize downtime, extend asset longevity, and enhance operational efficiency.
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to act as a technical anchor within the CAM team. In this role, you will spearhead the design and advancement of our predictive maintenance platform, closely collaborating with product management, data science/ML, design, and customers to develop and scale impactful features. Your responsibilities will include crafting the architecture for ML-enhanced functionalities—from time-series modeling and data pipelines to APIs and user workflows—while elevating the engineering standards across the team.
This position is fully remote and open to candidates located in the U.S. Relocation assistance will not be available for this role.
