About the job
Founded in 2007, Airbnb began with two hosts welcoming three guests into their San Francisco home. Today, we are a global community of over 5 million hosts, having facilitated more than 2 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country. Our platform offers unique stays and experiences that foster authentic connections within communities.
Join Our Community:
At Airbnb, our mission is to create a world where anyone can belong anywhere. As we strive to fulfill this vision, we seek a dedicated, technically adept, and mission-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Community Support Engineering (CSE) team.
In this role, you will collaborate with our customer support engineering, operations, and product teams to enhance decision-making across various facets of Airbnb. Working closely with engineering leaders in CSE, you will contribute to processes, strategies, and execution.
We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background, who comprehends the challenges at hand and is capable of driving requirements while leveraging their expertise to tackle strategic issues at Airbnb.
Your Impact:
If you are passionate about enhancing productivity, possess a strong analytical mindset for problem-solving, and thrive on building new organizational capabilities, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
TPMs at Airbnb manage a variety of intricate projects and programs that span multiple products, services, functions, and teams. You will need to maintain a comprehensive view while being able to delve into details and navigate unique challenges. This pivotal role will enhance the quality and speed of work across cross-functional teams, acting as a “force multiplier.” Responsibilities include managing project timelines, identifying risks, discussing technical trade-offs with engineers, and ensuring clear communication across stakeholder groups. You will facilitate clarity amidst complexity and foster relationships that motivate others through vision and data-driven persuasion.
A Day in the Life:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans.
- Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate project status and gather feedback.
- Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies.
