About the job
As a Steward at AccorHotels, you will play a vital role in our team, reporting directly to the Chief Steward. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with guests and team members in a warm, service-oriented approach.
- Adhering to Fairmont’s standards and regulations to ensure the smooth operation of hotel activities.
- Promptly returning all dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware to the dishwashing area for thorough cleaning and polishing.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchens, back of house areas, dining venues, storage rooms, employee dining areas, recycling zones, loading docks, and equipment.
- Conducting routine cleaning tasks using standard cleaning supplies.
- Ensuring floors are clean and dry to prevent slip and fall incidents.
- Keeping dishwashing machines in optimal condition to comply with health standards.
- Regularly disposing of trash and recyclables in designated areas.
- Demonstrating knowledge of operational standards and reporting any shortages to management.
- Assisting with the setup of banquet functions and delivering food and equipment as required.
- Maintaining cleanliness in areas where events are held.
- Participating in Health & Safety compliance.
- Attending meetings as necessary.
- Upholding high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and PPE.
- Consistently maintaining regular attendance.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
