In this pivotal role, you will be essential to the supermarket's daily operations by conducting stock audits and ensuring precise documentation of inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Audit: Execute regular stock assessments within the supermarket to verify actual inventory levels against recorded data.
Stock Counting: Perform comprehensive physical counts of all merchandise in the store, accurately recording the quantity of each item.
Shrinkage and Loss Control: Develop and implement strategies to identify and mitigate product loss.
Security Collaboration: Partner with the security team to safeguard the supermarket against theft and vandalism.
Labeling and Pricing: Ensure all products are clearly labeled with correct pricing visible to customers.
Process Improvement: Propose enhancements to stock management practices, including tracking and restocking processes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with store management and other departments for efficient stock control.
Compliance: Adhere to legal requirements and company policies regarding stock management, particularly for high-value and perishable items.
Training and Support: Educate store personnel on best practices for stock management.
