We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Stormwater Project Manager with a solid foundation in Water Resources and Civil Infrastructure to enhance our operations in California. The ideal candidate will possess 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, a California P.E. license, and a strong desire to lead projects while nurturing client relationships. This role will involve collaboration with BKF teams to successfully deliver water infrastructure projects and support our regional water resources initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and project management of various water infrastructure projects, including wastewater and stormwater management systems (pipelines, pump stations, tanks, planning studies, hydrological/hydraulic evaluations, and rehabilitation projects).
- Utilize internal resources for effective project delivery while expanding a local network.
- Navigate permitting processes, technical studies, and client coordination with ease.
- Commit to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement in water infrastructure engineering.
- Exhibit leadership qualities to develop a local team and mentor junior staff.
- Quickly familiarize yourself with BKF’s service offerings, promoting cross-selling opportunities to regional clients.
- Build a strong team focused on increasing visibility in Southern California among clients and business partners.
Qualifications:
- Must be based in California to strengthen existing BKF staff and client relationships while establishing a regional presence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field is required.
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is mandatory.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in water resources infrastructure, specifically in the design and management of stormwater and wastewater projects (including pipelines, pump stations, and rehabilitation efforts).
- Strong expertise in water infrastructure design, encompassing stormwater and wastewater management (pipeline design, pipe rehabilitation, pump station design, and rehabilitation).
- Proven ability to lead planning studies, master plans, and infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with both new and existing clients.
